Camp Bob Waldorf

Since 1938, Camp Bob Waldorf on the Max Straus Campus has been providing memorable camp experiences to youth, following the ideal that all children should have the opportunity to experience camp regardless of their family’s financial ability. Owned and operated by Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles Camp Bob Waldorf on the Max Straus campus offers Kibbutz Bob Waldorf, a pluralistic Jewish program that weaves values, culture and traditions into the fabric of camp. In addition to typical camp activities such as swimming, archery, ropes course, and arts and crafts, campers participate in a special Shabbat t’filah on Friday nights, a unique, experiential Shabbat experience Saturday mornings, Havdallah, Israel education and so much more! These programs allow campers to connect to their own Jewish identity, and to the larger Jewish community. Kibbutz Bob Waldorf offers two 15-day summer sessions, a 4-day service-based alternative winter break program and two weekend retreats throughout the school year.
